Sean - ears look great. He had a dried blood clot covering the right ear tube for a few weeks and got a few bloody noses on the right side of his nose. By the post op appointment the dried blood had mostly flaked off and the tube was visible. He is good to go for at least another year.
Natalia - ears look great. Her nose is still a bit swollen inside. And she has a massive sinus infection. Dr. Hill put her on antibiotics for the maximum allowed time - 20 days. If it doesn't clear up be the end of those 20 days then it's time for a CT scan to see what her sinuses are doing.
Alauna - ears look great. Tonsils on the other had are swollen and red. Dr. Hill would really like to wait until she is 18 -20 months old before taking them out. Since Alauna sometimes sleeps with her head cocked back off the top of her pillow she is positioning her head so that her airway is open. (Smart baby!) If she sleeps with her mouth shut then that means it is working and if she is sleeping with her mouth open that it isn't. And her tonsils would need to come out sooner. The big question is what do her tonsils do when she isn't on antibiotics for ear infections anymore.
edit: 2/5 - Alauna is having a hard time eating and drinking. She is getting dehydrated. I gave her some of the painkillers from the surgery and after that kicked in she started to eat a little bit. Soft foods only. Cereal in milk, burrito casserole, yogurt, pediasure... She is very clingy and prone to cry.

It makes me sad to hear that Alauna is having such a hard time breathing and eating. I hope that she gets better soon, poor cute girl:(
It will be fun to read what you have to say when you turn 40. To see how your next 10 years go. Life is definitely full of surprises.
