Sunday walk

One of the best things about living here is that we can go out for a pretty good hike fairly easily. Today I wanted to show them some of the trails that I’ve run on. After naps, dinner, and everything else we didn’t actually get started until after 6:00. It was so much fun. We started out on a dirt road up the mountain then moved on to the trails. The grasses were almost taller than Natalia! There were some pretty big rocks that were just begging to be climbed. Brandon and Sean really wanted to answer that call and where Brandon and Sean go Natalia has to follow. So up the rock they all went. After a bit of a hike the trails connected with the Bonneville Shoreline Trail. Then we realized that it was getting late and so we started back. But since we didn’t want to see the same scenery that we had already seen; we hiked up the mountain a bit and came back on some dirt roads. There were many big puddles on these roads and everyone had fun throwing rocks in them. Sure it was nice if the stone skipped a few times, but really, it was just as good or better if there was a huge splash!
This was definitely a fun walk and we could see the whole valley and pretend we knew which of the millions of trees was the tree in our backyard. We also got to see the sun setting over The Great Salt Lake.

And then there was this picture of Natalia posing on a rock. She was copying her older brother and wanted her picture taken too.
