Socially conscious Brandon

Brandon came home from school today full of plans to start a club.  The purpose of this club would be to help clean up trash and other messes.  He printed out a sign-up sheet, made some flyers, and set a date for the first meeting.  It is so cute how sincere and helpful he is. 

This time when Brandon came home from school he brought back the sign-up sheet and it was pretty full.  He had about 20 kids sign up to be in his club.  We'll have to see how this thing goes at the first meeting.

Well, today was the first meeting day and Brandon has completely forgotten about it.  One of the other kids' moms called me to see if it was still on, but it was a nasty day and since Brandon had forgotten all about it, I said no.  I wonder if he'll remember it again.

Either way, it was a good process for him since it taught him the steps of starting a club and taking on a leadership role.  He is way more of a leader than he thinks he is.
